Kokedama, meaning “moss ball” on which an ornamental plant grows. This unique art originated in Japan and uses a combination of bonsai and kusamono planting styles. In this 2 hour workshop you will get your hands in the dirt and learn how to construct your own Asparagus Fern Kokedama ball, so fun! We will cover the basics on how to properly mix the right kind of soil to form your plant creation, maintain a circular shape, add moss and then learn stringing techniques to hang your garden at home. If you would rather not hang your kokedama, you can also display it in a decorative dish or on a stand for an equally appealing and artistic look. We simply cannot get enough of these!
